Things have been going pretty smooth at the restaurant since we opened. The first few weeks were a little slow but some aggressive marketing had the seats packed pretty quickly. Things are going so well, that I’m going to expand the menu a bit. By a bit, I mean just a few entrees, but when multiple customers request a dish, it’s smart to comply.
Our new dishes will all involve shrimp. We’ve tested several batter recipes and I think we have come up with a fried shrimp entree that is the best in the city. To launch the new entrees, we are holding a fried shrimp eating contest in the restaurant. I see us going through a lot of shrimp so I’m shopping for shrimp suppliers. Once that is taken care of, we just need to spend a little more time on the the shrimp entrees and we’ll be ready for launch.
It’s a lot of work but I see this being satisfying both personally and financially down the road.
